Too big –
The boot is great in that it’s stylish, affordable and built to last. However, after wearing them for a week, they have stretched out tremendously. I have to wear ski socks to try and make them more snug and comfortable. Unfortunately, they’re still too big and I don’t enjoy wearing them b/c I’m constantly annoyed at how my feet are sliding around in them.

Great value in cowboy boot –
This is the second pair of these boots (two different colors) it is a well made, very comfortable boot. I would say that they seem to run large as I am usually an 8 but the 8 boot I have is too large, the 7.5 perfect. When the boot is too large they will ‘break’ between the toe and midsection which you don’t want.

Love these boots!
After being duly impressed with a less than 48-hour ship time, I am even more impressed with this boot! I wear between a 9 and a 9/12, and based on other customer reviews, I decided to order a 9 (knowing that I could easily exchange them if I needed a 9 1/2 instead). I also have a wider foot and sometimes experience too tight a fit across the top of my foot and also around the calf… But this boot fit true to a size 9, and was wide enough in the boot and calf (so may not be suitable for a very narrow foot and leg). I also love that the toe is not too pointed, and the sole and arch provide for very comfortable support… They are comfortable from the start and do not require any ‘breaking in’ time. If you’re looking for an overall good quality, good looking, black western boot, give this one a try!

Boots for the over 50 crowd!
I never thought I could wear a cowboy boot. Didn’t even try when I was younger. At 55 while visiting a shoe store in NH I got introduced by a well informed sales staff as to the comfort level of this boot. Well, now I own three and I work all day in them. Thanks for a great boot!

Good looking boots –
I really like these boots, but they feel a little snug. I wear a size 9 and most size 9’s fit me perfectly. I don’t know if my foot is getting wider, but the last couple of pairs of shoes that I have bought have been a little narrow. I’ve been wearing them around the house to break them in.

These boots are excellent! I have large feet (size 11) and always have a problem finding boots to fit right. Not no more! These boots fit perfectly and also are comfortable! I can wear them for a night out on the town or all day at work and my feet don’t hurt. Yea!

I have never written a review before in my life, but I am so impressed with these boots I just have to share! I have been looking for the prefect pair of cowboy boots for about 7 years now and I have not had any luck. I could never even get the boots on my feet because of my large ankle/calf area, I could only wear boots that zippered. But these slid on easily and fit like a dream right out of the box! I ordered half a size larger because I was afraid they would fit like all the other pairs I have encountered. They are so comfortable, amazing!

I can not rate the fit of these boots because I could not get my foot past the shaft – too tight at the turn! Tried them at a local western store – same thing. Don’t know how people get these on their feet.

My daughter has these boots and raved about them. Now I have them also and am delighted with my purchase. Even with a resolving case of plantar fasciitis, I can walk in these boots all day. Very stylish and so comfortable. Zappos’ speed of delivery is amazing, less than 24 hrs after ordering!

Love these boots! Wore them brand new and walked for miles in sloppy, wet weather. They were completely comfortable. Got soaked through, but recovered well. My feet were happy at the end of the day.

I really love these boots. They are very comfortable a little pull to get on but it is worth it. I would wear them all the time if they fit the fashion. the look is great as a western boot.

Wonderfully made boot — great deal! Crazy comfortable with decent arch support and a removable insole…I can hardly believe it is a boot and not a sneaker. I love the quiet non-slip rubber sole. I wear a 7.5 heel and an 8 sneaker normally. The 7.5 Ariat fits perfect! It is mis-listed as having a 9.5″ shaft. It is actually 11″ tall from the top of the 1.5″ heel (12.5″ total). It is such a great boot that Justin tried to copy it with their Stampede collection. The R-toe is the classic Cowboy style, but I returned it in favor of a more flashy fashionable J-toe (listed on Zappos as simply the “Heritage Western,” opposed to the “Heritage Western R-toe”). It almost the same boot, save the toe and circumference. One problem for me with the R-toe (that is not a problem with the J-toe) is the circumference at the top of the shaft is 14″ (.5″ bigger than the J-toe) and the boot is made of softer leather than the J-toe, so it makes my skinny legs look like they are stuck in a too wide bucket. The J-toe is more stiff and straight and fitted to my calf.

This is the first time I have ordered from Zappos. It has been a great experience! For the boots, they are fantastic! They are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. I do have a narrow foot, so I was a little unsure of how they would work for me. They were perfect the first few times I wore them, but since they are leather, they stretch. I added the insert that I have to add to all my shoes and again they were perfect! My hubby says I should get the brown ones too since he sees me in my black ones all the time!

This is my first pair of cowboy boots. I’ve had a few different styles of Ariat shoes and paddock boots before but never these cowboy style boots before. As always, Ariat shoes are true to form and fit my feet perfectly (size 8 medium). Boots were comfy right out of the box, so easy to slip on and off and very stylish. Perfectly comfortable to walk in all day. Wish I’d taken the plunge years ago with these comfy boots!

Well made boot and perfect for western styling. Toe box a little snug for me and the heel a little too loose. Have a normal width foot with a narrow heel and a bunion. Felt a full size larger than marked. Love the boot – my foot just isn’t a good match. Very comfortable and looks like it’s built to last!

This is the second Ariat product I own, and I have to tell you these are super comfortable right out of the box. Doesn’t appear they will need much if any break in at all. Nice wide toe box even without ordering a wide width. Couldn’t be happier with these.

I’m happy with them, and I’d like to answer some questions people might have, as well as give my opinion, so: they do stretch a little, but I’m not trying to stretch them so I don’t know if you can purposely get them to stretch and it will work; I wear them at work and enjoy having a slip resistant boot with a little heal; the design is pretty but there is more of a lightly colored stitch outlining the design than I could see in the picture; I got a wide foot but regular calf, and I think that if you have very wide feet then you should get an extra wide boot, or maybe you’ll need to get wide and a wide calf because it can become a little tight getting through the ankle area of the boot, but there is still a little moving room with my foot inside (like maybe I should have gotten. 7.5). Lastly, they seem to be of good quality, like not going to get messed up easily.

My husband buys a new pair every year so we wish they would last longer. He is wearing them most everyday for doing horse chores in the evening. They are getting hard use & are truly waterproof. This is the only boot he’s happy with. Not a cowboy boot kinda guy. Finds them too narrow & stiff. So we’ll stick with these & hope you continue to offer them. He wears a 13 EE which is not always an easy size to find either.
