I think this is one of the best purchases I’ve made. The leather was buttery smooth. My husband doesn’t usually get excited about anything, but when he saw that Ariat box, his eyes lit up like a kid at Christmas. This time he was my “baby” at Christmas. He took them out and tried to try them on and it was a fail. He has extremely large ankles and calf muscles. I tried to get the size smaller and the width wider but that is a no go. If you get something make sure you know their actual size. I am returning these for his correct size 12. I would reccomend!

Coming from about 15 years straight wearing Red Wing heritage chukkas and resoling them multiple times. I was looking for something substantially similar but that would offer a better fit and comfort level for the shape of my 58-year-old foot! Ordered these in the mail and hoped for the best. They came today. The leather is nice… not Red Wing but plenty good enough. Construction seems solid, and for me, removing the footbeds they came with and replacing with some that are a little flatter turned into an extraordinary level of comfort and room in the toe box. I am really happy now and just hope that they last and continue to look good as they get worn, scuffed, scraped, etc. like a light work boot will. Thanks Ariat!

I was looking for a more “office oriented” look than my Ariat “cowboy” boots and so took a chance on these Recons. They had the style I wanted, and after only a few days of wear, I could tell they were much more comfortable than I had expected them to be. In fact, they are so light, it is almost like not having shoes on. They go with all of my current “business casual” attire and seem to be durable enough for a long run as my new “work boots”.

I bought a pair of Ariat boots for my son for Christmas. He was so impressed with their look and comfort, I had to have a pair of my own. These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. No break in time needed. I was a little concerned at first with how scuffed they were getting soon after wearing them for the first time, but as I wore them more they got more “distressed looking”. I have gotten lots of comments on their looks. Very impressive!
